Danielle Woodard - Teacher
I started practicing with a friend in her house in 2001 (in my 30's), then went to studio's and gyms to practice, started doing hot yoga, and yoga kept me sane through my divorce while I was living in Atlanta and moved to Chicago. As you said today, I wish I had found my way to the mat when I was much younger.
The first Thanksgiving class ULP had at the studio hooked me and that class is my favorite way to give thanks.
I spend my free time skiing, hiking, camping and reading.
This is a round about answer to this question, but in 2011 or so my friends and I did our first 1/2 marathon and when we were running my friend asked me why we were doing this and my answer was "because we can," I try to carry that into all my hobbies, getting to my mat and service to others.
My Mantra: Because we can.
