"Yoga has always been in the background as a person of Indian lineage. I began to develop an interest in yoga as a counter exercise to bicycling, in which one is often in a hunched over position. However, it was a class with Melissa Martinez Chauvin that really opened my eyes as to beauty and healing power of yoga. I remember the first class with her as a transcendent experience that is hard to describe.
When I heard the heart felt passion Hannah Bias and Andrea Snow Moore have for the Urban Lotus Project at a Kirtan class at Temple Yoga, I knew that these individuals were creating tremendous good in our community. I immediately knew that I want to help in any way possible.
I spend most of my time as a retina surgeon with my own practice (HD Retina) here in Reno. I also try to spend as much time as possible with my lovely wife and my last two kids at home (I already have two children in college). I also enjoy working out and playing guitar."
My Mantra: "There are only two ways to live your life: One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle."
