Kim Lundeen - ULP Teacher

I first began practicing yoga with my mom back in the 1990's.  At this time it helped balance out other activities such as skiing, mountain biking, rock climbing and hiking.  After establishing my career in Information Technology and finding that sitting at a desk all day was "not that great for the body", yoga became important in order to maintain flexibility and a peaceful mind from all the daily stresses.

After moving around from Utah to North Carolina to Australia to Oakland, I have been happy to land in Reno to spend time with my family.  Achieving my Mixed Martial Arts Black Belt in 2012 and being awarded best tester, I went on to obtain my Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  But the body can only handle so many fights and yoga was calling me.  Finding the opportunity to finally become a yoga instructor, I completed Yoga Pod's 200 Yoga Teacher Training June 2018 and have enjoyed getting out there to teach any chance I get.

When I am not on my mat, I'm hiking, gardening, skiing, doing watercolor, tending to my chickens or having fun with my boys.  I love learning new things and enjoy traveling the world when I have the chance.  I like to bring yoga to everyone and especially enjoy working with beginners to help them feel empowered within their own yoga.

My Mantra: "You can't find what you're not looking for."
