Molly Cole - Teacher
Yoga found me precisely when I needed it most: In high school. My gym class had an option to try yoga for a week in tenth grade. The practice resonated with me for many reasons and I've been with it ever since. Over 20 years have now passed but I still find the practice brings what my body, soul or mind is craving.
Yoga has power. Yoga has the power to help people and propel people to their greatest selves. Even more simply yoga has the ability to assist us in finding the power within ourselves. Urban Lotus Project helps bring this to light through sharing the practice of yoga with this community. Reaching to places that need yoga most will help our people and our community grow, gain confidence and power and, if need be, to cultivate the need for change and growth. I wanted to become part of ULP to assist youth and the community in need to find their power (and balance) through the practice of yoga.
I love yoga and practice everyday. I also love my dog and hang out with him everyday. Dogs can teach us things :) Reading teaches me about the world. Working in restaurants helps me tune into my passions of food and wine. Adventures outdoors and hanging out with my fiancé are my favorite, too.
My Mantra: Listen. Listen to the body, listen to the mind, hear the worlds around you and mind your intuition. Listen. But don't take it all too seriously.
