Yoga, it seems, had been seeking me for a number of years. I never got quiet enough to sense it. I dabbled here and there, but once I found that yoga could alleviate my lower back pain, I dove in head first. In my yogic studies, I began to discover a wealth of healing wisdom. Sensing a deep lack of support for our local youth, I just knew that many could benefit from these practices. Hearing about ULP nearly 3 years ago, I just knew I had to be involved. I began yoga teacher training solely for the ability to teach with ULP. This deepened my love and reverence for the tradition. When I'm not serving ULP, I'm exploring all of the possible ways that we can bridge the gap between inner healing and profound social transformation. I am looking for nothing short of transforming the way we exist together. My Mantras: "That which you are seeking is seeking you." -Rumi "The present always finds us in our bodies, even when we are lost." "The greatest gift you can give is your attention." |
