Sabrina Adkins - Teacher
Yoga came into my life a few different times, always as a recommendation that it would be good for me. After years of beating myself up as an athlete, I finally decided to truly give yoga a chance to help me heal my body. Yes, yoga taught me how to heal and listen to my body, but what it truly did was open me up in ways I never knew I needed to be opened.
As soon as I became a certified yoga instructor, I felt that my yoga practice became a gift that I could share with others. As an educator in this city, I felt that the youth in our community would be one of the groups who would benefit most from the gift of yoga. I heard about this project from fellow yoga instructors, and over the course of almost a year, I kept getting called back to it. So, I finally answered the call to see where I could offer my practice.
When I'm not in service to other through ULP, I enjoy practicing/teaching yoga, running, teaching English, chasing my dogs, loving on my kids, and enjoying all this craziness that is life with my husband.
My Mantra: "You can never be alone when you realize that we are all one."
