Siera Smith - ULP Teacher
Yoga entered my life after years of competitive sports in my youth when repetitive stress injuries had finally caught up with me. I began taking yoga classes to become “more flexible,” but what I discovered was the ability to connect deeper with my breath and honor my body. I wanted to become involved with ULP because I know how impactful some coaches, teachers, and mentors have been in helping to shape my life, and I only hope that I can help impact my young students in a positive way. I believe in yoga and what it can do to powerfully and positivily change our perspectives and the at risk youth in Reno deserves an opportunity to see these benefits. When I am not working with ULP I like to spend my time outdoors with my boyfriend and our bulldog. I love to travel and experience other people and cultures. My Mantra: "Just TRY it!" I grew up with my parents always saying, “just TRY it,” whether it was new cuisine, sport, or experience I was always encouraged to TRY. I have found that when I try all kinds of new things doors open, opportunities come my way, and always some fun and excitement. My goal in life is to at least TRY! |
